Jannatul Naeem, who played for the winning team Industrial Police, was chosen as the Player of the Final. Masud from the Chattogram Range received the Best Batsman award, while Kajol from Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) was recognized as the Best Bowler.

Inspector General of Police (IGP) Baharul Alam handed out the trophies and individual prizes to the winners, runners-up, and top players during the award ceremony. The event was led by Additional IGP of CID and President of the Bangladesh Police Cricket Club, Mohammad Shibghat Ullah.

IGP Baharul Alam shared his happiness at the event, saying, “Even though we have busy jobs and lots of responsibilities, attending sports events like this is a great change of pace. Sometimes I come just because I have to, but once I’m at the ground, I always feel glad I came. Today’s match was especially exciting — it went down to the second-last ball. It was a really fun and memorable game.”

He also said, “I want to thank everyone who helped make the IGP Cup a success — from the people who looked after the field to those who organized the matches and invited the guests. A big thanks to all the players too for playing with such energy. I also hope the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) will keep supporting us so our team can continue to improve. I was really pleased to hear that our team has already played in the First Division — that’s great news.”

He also appreciated the journalists who attended, thanking them for spreading awareness of police sports activities to more people.

The event had many important guests including several Additional IGPs, heads of police units in Dhaka, BCB President Faruque Ahmed, Director Nazmul Abedeen Fahim, and many fans who came to enjoy the exciting final match.

The Bangladesh Police Cricket Championship 2024-25 started on April 17. A total of 19 police teams took part in the tournament, which was divided into four groups: A, B, C, and D. Matches were played at two locations — the Mirpur Police Lines Ground and the Bangladesh Police Cricket Club Ground.
