Sudharsan smashed 39 runs off 30 balls against Rajasthan Royals (RR) at the Jaipur ground on Monday.
Gujarat Titans (GT) young opener Sai Sudarshan has snatched the IPL 2025 Orange Cap from Virat Kohli within 24 hours. Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) star batsman Kohli took the Orange Cap from Sudarshan by scoring a half-century against Delhi Capitals (DC) on Sunday. Sudarshan played an innings of 39 runs in 30 balls against Rajasthan Royals (RR) at the Jaipur ground on Monday. He hit four fours and a six. He may have missed the fifty but he again became the number-1 batsman in the ongoing season.

Sudarshan, who is in great form, has scored 456 runs in 9 matches at an average of 57.00. The 23-year-old has scored five half-centuries. Kohli has slipped to second place in the list of highest run-scorers in IPL 2025. He has so far scored 443 runs in 10 matches at an average of 63.28.
He has played six half-century innings. At number three in the list is Suryakumar Yadav of Mumbai Indians, who scored 427 runs in 10 matches. His average is 61.00. Nicholas Pooran (404 runs in 10 matches), part of Lucknow Super Giants (LSG), is at number four.
Talking about the RR vs GT match, Sudarshan shared a good partnership with captain Shubman Gill. Both added 93 runs for the first wicket. Sudarshan’s innings was ended by Mahesh Teekshana in the 11th over. After this, Gill took charge with Jos Buttler (50 not out off 26 balls) and shared a 74-run partnership for the second wicket.
Teekshana hunted Gill in the 17th over, who missed the century. GT Captain scored 84 runs in 50 balls with the help of five fours and four sixes. Gill was also out after coming close to a century in the last match. He played an innings of 90 runs in 55 balls against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR). GT scored 209/4 against RR.
