The Board of Control for Cricket in India confirmed on May 12 that IPL 2025 is resuming from May 17 and its final match will be played on June 3. The final match of the World Test Championship between South Africa and Australia is starting from June 11 at Lord’s. Cricket South Africa had earlier said that they have told the BCCI that all the players will return home on May 26. However, now Cricket South Africa itself has changed this date. CSA Director of National Team and High Performance Enoch Nkwe said, ‘This is a personal decision and all the players have to come back and continue their game. One thing we have made clear and we are also in talks with the IPL and BCCI about the original plan to prepare for the World Test Championship. The players of the Test team have to return on May 26. The final of the World Test Championship is above all for us.
