BBL: According to the calendar, Australia’s domestic T20 tournament, the Big Bash, is scheduled to be played in November-December. And with that tournament in mind, the Big Bash authorities have already started preparing. Names have already been submitted for it.

Shaheen Afridi is at the top of the list of names to be included in this year’s Big Bash League draft. The Pakistani left-arm pacer has made his name available for the entire season. According to the Australian Cricket Board, Brisbane Heat are eyeing Shaheen Afridi. They will get a chance at the beginning of this year’s draft.

However, Brisbane Heat already have left-arm pacer Spencer Johnson in their squad and they can also retain Colin Munro, who was signed under the platinum salary last season. As a result, Afridi could move to the Adelaide Strikers, who are at number 2. The team has also shown interest in taking a fast bowler.

Along with Afridi, the other Pakistani cricketers in the draft are wicketkeeper-batsman Mohammad Rizwan and Big Bash veterans Haris Rauf and Shadab Khan. All four Pakistanis are at the top of the draft list this time.

With Pakistan having a large free period in the ICC’s Future Tours programme from November to February, most of the country’s national team players will have the opportunity to participate in the Big Bash.

Big Bash Draft Nominees: Sam Curran (England), Alex Hales (England), Lockie Ferguson (New Zealand), Tim Southee (New Zealand), Shaheen Afridi (Pakistan), Shadab Khan (Pakistan), Haris Rauf (Pakistan), Mohammad Rizwan (Pakistan), Kusal Perera (Sri Lanka) and Shamar Joseph (West Indies)

However, this time too, there is no Bangladeshi star in the first list. Although the names of more than one Bangladeshi star may be in the final draft. Last season, leg spinner Rishad Hossain got his name in this draft and got a team. Hobart Hurricanes pulled him into the team. However, this leg spinner could not play for Hobart due to NOC complications.
