The Bengal Pro T20 League has been postponed indefinitely due to the India-Pakistan conflict, the Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB) confirmed in a statement on Friday.

The Bengal Pro T20 League has started like the IPL since last season. This time, it was supposed to be the second season. The men’s season was supposed to start from May 16. And the women’s season was supposed to start from June 4.

But in this situation, the authorities have decided to postpone the tournament indefinitely. They said that the CAB will announce the schedule and field list of the season after considering everything at the appropriate time.

Meanwhile, the Indian Premier League (IPL) was suspended midway through the season yesterday. This franchise league has been suspended for a week. It is believed that this instability between the two countries may last for quite some time. Therefore, India wanted to organize the remaining matches of the IPL in the United Arab Emirates. However, the United Arab Emirates did not agree to such a proposal by the BCCI.

Since the United Arab Emirates is not interested in organizing the IPL, the BCCI is looking for alternatives. Their possible alternative could be England. A report by the popular cricket magazine ‘The Cricketer’ claims that the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) has expressed interest in organizing the IPL.

The ECB has already contacted the BCCI and has been informed that England’s door is open for the IPL.
