According to reports in some Indian media outlets, the young woman, a resident of Ghaziabad area, filed a complaint through the online grievance portal (IGRS) of Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. Where she said, “She was in a relationship with Yash Dayal for five years. During this time, he exploited her physically and mentally by promising her marriage. He even introduced the plaintiff as his wife in his family, due to which she developed complete trust in him (Dayal).” Alleging that she was cheated for mental and physical abuse, the victim also mentioned, “During the relationship, the defendant (Dayal) was financially dependent on her by instigating her. Later, it was learned that he was also having a relationship with another woman. Mutual conversations, screenshots, video calls and pictures have been added as evidence in this regard.”
According to NDTV, the young woman called the 181 Women’s Helpline on June 14, 2025 and filed a complaint. However, she also alleges that it did not reach the police station level. After that, she appeared before the Chief Minister demanding justice after being a victim of financial and social helplessness. The Chief Minister’s Office has ordered an investigation into the incident, “A request for a prompt and impartial investigation and legal action against the accused has been made. This is important not only for the victim, but for every person affected by such relationships.”
The Chief Minister’s Office has ordered an investigation by the Ghaziabad Circle Officer. The deadline for this has been set till July 21. Dayal took 13 wickets in 15 matches for Bangalore in the last IPL. In total, he took 41 wickets in 43 matches for two different teams in 4 seasons. A couple of years ago, while playing for Gujarat, he was hit with five sixes by Kolkata batter Rinku Singh. This brought him into the limelight for the first time.
