Bangladesh is going to play a full series against Sri Lanka this month. The series starts with two Test matches. The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) announced a 16-member squad for the Test yesterday. Nazmul Hossain Shanto is the captain of the team as usual.
Mehedi Hasan Miraj is also the vice-captain. The BCB press release said about the captaincy, “Top-order batsman Nazmul Hossain Shanto will remain as Bangladesh’s Test captain for another year, a role he took on in 2024. Mehedi Hasan Miraj will continue as vice-captain. The duo led the Test team in the previous season and will continue in charge.”
Bangladesh will play two Tests, three ODIs and three T20Is on the Sri Lanka tour. The first Test will be played in Galle on June 17. The second Test match of the series will start in Colombo on June 25.
