Rajasthan Royals team is out of the playoff race

The turning point in the Rajasthan Royals (RR) vs Mumbai Indians (MI) match in Jaipur today in IPL 2025 was the early collapse of Rajasthan’s top-order batting lineup while chasing a target of 218 runs.

Rajasthan Royals had a very bad start and Deepak Chahar dismissed Vaibhav Suryavanshi, who was in great form, for zero in the first over. After this, Trent Boult showed Yashasvi Jaiswal the way to the pavilion. Jasprit Bumrah destroyed the batting order of RR by dismissing Riyan Parag and Shimron Hetmyer.

After a bad start, the Rajasthan Royals team could not recover till the end and were all out for 117 runs in 16.1 overs. Rajasthan lost this match by 100 runs. With this defeat, they are out of the playoff race.

Talking about the match, Rajasthan Royals won the toss and invited Mumbai Indians to bat first. Mumbai openers Rohit Sharma and Ryan Rickelton batted brilliantly and gave the team a great start. Both the batsmen made a century partnership for the first wicket and added 116 runs.

However, after this both were out one after the other. Rickelton scored 61 runs in 38 balls, while Rohit scored 53 runs in 36 balls. After this, Suryakumar Yadav (48 *) and Hardik Pandya (48 *) batted stormily and took the team’s score beyond 200. Mumbai thus scored a huge score of 217 runs for the loss of 2 wickets in the stipulated 20 overs.

In response, Rajasthan Royals team was all out for just 117 runs. Jofra Archer scored the highest 30 runs for the team. Karn Sharma and Trent Boult took three wickets each for Mumbai. At the same time, Jasprit Bumrah took two wickets. Deepak Chahar and Hardik Pandya got one wicket each.
