In the 47th match of IPL 2025, Rajasthan Royals defeated Gujarat Titans by 8 wickets. Rajasthan easily chased the target of 210 runs in just 15.5 overs. The team has also kept its playoff hopes alive with this win. The hero of Rajasthan’s victory was 14-year-old Vaibhav Suryavanshi, who played a wonderful century innings.

Vaibhav Suryavanshi scored a century in 35 balls
Vaibhav Suryavanshi played an innings of 101 runs with the help of 7 fours and 11 sixes in 38 balls against Gujarat Titans. He completed his half-century in just 17 balls and century in 35 balls. He became the youngest batsman to score a half-century and century in IPL. Also, breaking the record of Yusuf Pathan (37 balls), he has become the fastest Indian to score a century in IPL. Chris Gayle (30 balls) is at the first place in this list.
Let us tell you, during his innings, Vaibhav Suryavanshi took on all the Gujarat bowlers including Mohammad Siraj, Ishant Sharma and Washington Sundar. In one over of Ishant, this 14-year-old player scored 28 runs. This included three sixes and two fours.
After the match winning innings, Vaibhav Suryavanshi while speaking at the post match presentation said,
“It is a great feeling. This is my first century in IPL and this is my third innings. The result is here after the practice before the tournament. I just see the ball and play. It is good to bat with Jaiswal, he tells me what to do and he incorporates the positive things. It has been my dream to score a century in IPL and today it has come true. There is no fear. I don’t think much, I just focus on playing.”
