The Pakistan Super League (PSL) will no longer be broadcast in India. Until recently, Indian fans could watch the matches live on the streaming platform Fancode. However, after the Pahalgam incident, the streaming has been stopped. Because of this, many believe the PSL might lose a large number of viewers.

On Tuesday (April 22), a gun attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, killed 26 people. The incident has made tensions between India and Pakistan even worse. This political conflict is also impacting the ongoing Pakistan Super League (PSL).

In response to the attack, Fancode stopped streaming PSL games. This is a major setback for the league. If viewership decreases, it could become difficult for the PSL to attract sponsors in the future.

Following the same incident, the Pakistani government has decided to send back the Indian workers who were involved in the broadcasting of the Pakistan Super League. If they leave, it could cause problems with the league’s broadcasting.

A Pakistan Cricket Board official mentioned that the Shahbaz Sharif government has instructed the Indian workers in the league to return to India. He added, “There are many Indian nationals handling the broadcasting of the Pakistan Super League, and they have been asked to go back to India.”
