That is why the cricketers wanted this tournament to be held this year as well. If everything goes well, the second edition of the NCL T20 tournament can be held from September 14. BCB Chief Coordinator of Programs Minhajul Abedin Nannu gave some information about the tournament on Sunday.
Nannu said, “Last time it was done in a very short time. This time, three venues have been selected. The tournament committee has asked the grounds committee for three venues. Accordingly, the tournament committee is moving forward. It is certain that the tournament will be held in all three venues.”
However, BCB Grounds Committee Chairman Mahbub Anam told Dhaka Post that four grounds have been prepared for the NCL. However, Dhaka or Chittagong are not among them. These four venues are Rajshahi, Sylhet, Bogra and Khulna. Now if the games are played at 4 venues together, it will be a unique vision. As far as is known, BCB is trying in that way.
Like last year, 8 teams from 8 divisions will play in this season. Last year, the NCL T20 was also recognized as first-class cricket by the ICC. This tournament can also be called a good rehearsal for the cricketers before the BPL. If they do well in the NCL, there will be a chance for the domestic cricketers to get a team in the BPL.
