One of the richest cricket boards in the world is India. However, they have decided to reduce the daily allowance of their employees. It is learnt that some employees were trying to take allowances unethically. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has formulated a policy to deal with them. Where the amount of allowance of the employees has been reduced from before.
According to the previous policy, the board employees used to get 15 thousand taka daily for short-term travel (up to four days). They used to get 10 thousand taka for long-term travel. Long-term travel included IPL, WPL and ICC competitions organized by India. Apart from this, 7500 taka was given as a one-time allowance.
In the new rule, the one-time allowance has been removed. In all cases, the daily allowance has been made 10 thousand taka. After paying taxes, each employee will get 6500 taka daily. The board employees have not received the allowance money since January. This time, after the policy is published, their arrears will be paid.
Quoting a source from the board, Indian media reported that some employees used to ask for full-time daily allowance even though they worked full-time at the board’s headquarters in Mumbai. This is being discontinued now. Let’s say someone travels for all 70 days of the IPL. He will get a total of seven lakh taka as 10 thousand taka. Those who traveled irregularly will get 60 percent of the money. Those who did not travel at all will get 40 percent of the money.
For trips outside the country, they will get $300 (about Rs. 26,000) per day. The board’s president, secretary, treasurer, vice-president and joint secretary will get Rs. 86,000 per day if they go abroad.
