Bangladesh Emerging Team started the ODI series against South Africa Emerging Team with a win. However, the Proteas turned things around by winning the second match. So the last match of the series was equally important for both the teams. Bangladesh secured the title 2-1 with a 34-run win in this series-deciding match.
Batting first at the Shahid Kamruzzaman Stadium in Rajshahi, Bangladesh team scored 225 runs. In reply, South Africa could not score more than 191 runs. As a result, the hosts left the field with a 34-run victory.
The Tiger spinners stopped the South African batters. Mainly, Rakibul’s 4 wickets, Rabbi-Wasi’s pair of wickets broke the African batting lineup. Tayan van Boeren scored the highest 40 runs for the team.

Earlier, the two openers Mahfizul Islam Robin returned for 26 runs, before that Chaudhry Mohammad Rizwan returned without scoring any runs. Then Ryan Rafsan quickly departed for 19 runs, Ariful Islam also failed to score a run. Later, Akbar Ali tried to take charge of the team. However, he could not show the team much, and he made way for the pavilion while being on 38 runs.
Pritam Kumar could not score a run on the day as well, Sheikh Parvez Jiban also failed.
