Glenn Maxwell ruled out of IPL 2025 due to finger injury
Punjab Kings team is close to making it to the playoffs of IPL 2025. But in the meantime, the franchise has suffered a major setback. All-rounder Glenn Maxwell, who was bought by Punjab for 4.2 crores in the auction. He has been ruled out of the remaining matches of the ongoing season due to a finger injury. During the toss of the match against Chennai Super Kings, Shreyas Iyer had told that Maxwell’s finger was fractured, after which the news of his being out of the tournament was coming to the fore.

Punjab Kings gave an update on Glenn Maxwell on social media and said,
“Glenn Maxwell is ruled out for the remainder of the season due to a finger injury. We wish him a speedy recovery,”
How was Maxwell’s performance in IPL 2025
Glenn Maxwell scored only 48 runs in six innings at an average of 8 and a strike rate of 97.95. He struggled with the bat, although bowled decently. Maxwell took four wickets in six innings at an average of 27.5 and a strike rate of 19.5. He bowled a total of 13 overs, conceding almost 110 runs.
