India will now get a new Test captain for the five-Test series starting in England from June 20, with Jasprit Bumrah, KL Rahul, Shubman Gill and Rishabh Pant being the possible candidates. Bumrah captained the team in a few Test matches during the Australia tour. But at the moment, Rahul and Gill seem to be the frontrunners due to vice-captain Bumrah’s repeated fitness problems.
