RCB beat CSK by 2 runs in a high scoring match
The turning point of the Royal Challengers Bangalore vs Chennai Super Kings match played on Saturday in IPL 2025 was the wicket of Ayush Mhatre. While chasing the target of 214 runs given by RCB, Ayush played a tremendous innings for CSK. He scored a half-century in just 25 balls and led the team to victory.
He along with Ravindra Jadeja made a crucial partnership of 114 runs for the third wicket. At one point it seemed that both would easily take the team to the target, but Lungi Ngidi gave relief to RCB by dismissing Ayush Mhatre. The 17-year-old batsman missed out on a century, but he played a memorable innings for CSK.
His dismissal proved to be the turning point of this match. If Ayush had stayed at the crease for a little longer, the result of the match would have been different.

Talking about the match, RCB, batting first, scored a huge score of 213 runs for the loss of 5 wickets in the stipulated 20 overs. Openers Jacob Bethel and Virat Kohli gave the team a quick start and shared a 97-run partnership for the first wicket. Pathirana broke this partnership by dismissing Jacob.
Jacob Bethel played an innings of 55 runs in 33 balls. At the same time, Virat Kohli was also out after scoring 62 runs. He hit 5 fours and 5 sixes. In the end, Romario Shepherd scored the fastest half-century for RCB and played an important innings of 53 not out, thanks to which RCB gave a big target to CSK. Mathisha Pathirana took the maximum three wickets for CSK.
In response, Chennai Super Kings also started fast, but lost two of their wickets at a score of 58. However, Ayush Mhatre created history by scoring a half-century in just 25 balls.
